Skutu Mogafe Awards for Greatness kicks off
The Skutu Mogafe Foundation kicked off the public participation phase of the 2014 Skutu Mogafe Awards for Greatness on February 11.
The awards for greatness aim to preserve the heritage and celebrate Ekurhuleni residents and their achievements.
The public participation phase calls on members of the public to vote for the person they feel should receive the award in their specific category.
There are two ways to vote: by SMSing the letter that corresponds to the nominee’s name to 34693, or online, by visiting www.skutumogafefoundation.org
Voting lines will be open on February 17, and close on the morning of April 11.
There are 17 nominees and they were selected by the foundation’s board of trustees
The five categories are: chairman’s award, arts and culture, sport and recreation, community development and education development.
