East Rand Business Women shake it up

The East Rand Business Women (ERBW) meeting held at the Birchwood Hotel on April 9, was filled withfun and laughter as chemical engineer by day and belly dancer by night Tarryn Rego entertained members with a gorgeous display of her passion, which is dancing.

Tarryn told the women how she manages to balance her life, working at Sasol as a chemical engineer all day and making time to live her passion for dance by either teaching, going to classes, or performing at various venues around South Africa and abroad.

She maintains that staying busy and focused is key to doing it all.

She lives a healthy lifestyle, to which her beautiful, lithe body is testament, and keeps her life very structured.

After a short talk Tarryn got all the women to their feet and showed them a couple of her dance moves.

To great music and with many giggles, 62 women of all ages gyrated their hips, shimmied their bodies and had a whale of an enjoyable time.

The women of ERBW not only have great moves, they also have huge hearts.

More than six huge boxes of shoes for preschoolers were collected for the Ukajede Foundation, along with R1 100 in cash.

The next ERBW meeting will be on May 14, at the Birchwood Hotel, and George Ross, an ex-drug addict, will share his battle to overcome his addiction in a talk entitled “Drugs, angels, amazing grace and Marikana”.
