The suspect appeared in the Benoni Magistrates Court on April 22, on charges of theft of a motorcycle.
The case was postponed for two weeks for further investigation and bail was denied.
Crystal Park SAPS media liaison officer Tryna Maritz said the suspect was arrested on Wednesday morning (April 16) after he was seen with two other people pushing a motorcycle down Elm Road.
Crystal Park Community Police Forum (CPF) members alerted the SAPS and chased one of the men down.
Maritz said police later discovered that the motorcycle (a Kawasaki 500cc) had been stolen from a Hazel Road property, on April 14.
