A man died in a head-on collision with a truck, on Pretoria Road, this morning.
ER24 JHB East paramedic Glen Orritt responded to the accident involving a truck and a SUV, about 2km before the Bapsfontein four-way stop, at about 7am.
Orritt said the driver and only occupant of the SUV, a man in his 50s, succumbed to his severe injuries before paramedics arrived.
The driver of the truck (51) sustained minor injuries and was transported to the Far East Rand Hospital.
The truck’s passenger was uninjured.
Traffic was diverted on the road this morning.
Authorities will investigate the accident.
