Rotherham has a new game up his sleeve, win a signed copy

When Paul Rotherham couldn't find a game to test his musical knowledge, he started putting pen to paper.

Two years later – to the day – the well-known radio personality and Farrarmere resident released his first music trivia board game onto the shelves.

The irony, however, is that the radio man doesn’t play his own game as he already knows all the answers.

Rotherham said his latest version of Jukebox Trivia, is strictly a card game.

He first launched the original Jukebox Trivia board game in 2007, in association with Prima Toys.

That game was on the shelves for 18 months before he brought out a card-only version, with a novice and an intermediate level.

He discovered, with the last two card versions, that the questions were very difficult.

The latest version has been rehashed, with 642 brand new trivia questions to keep even the most musically minded individual enthralled.

The new version, which is officially on the shelves, has two difficulty levels: ”Lekker easy” and ”Kopkrapper”.

The playing cards are completely different to the previous ones and have music trivia questions from the ’80s, ’90s and now, with 12 per cent of the content relating to South African acts.

Rotherham has also received overwhelming support from his current employer, Jacaranda FM, who are just as much a part of the venture.

The station will promote the game on air.

Rotherham will give away signed copies of the game to five lucky readers.

To win, SMS your name and surname, and the answer followed by ”bctgame” to one of the questions on the card, to 35718.

1. What fruit is mentioned in Indecent Obsession’s hit song ”Kiss me”?

Entries close at 1pm, on July 28.

SMSes are charged at R1.50.
