Benoni SPCA senior inspector dismissed
The outcome of the disciplinary hearing of Benoni SPCA senior inspector Annalise Jungmann, after she was suspended, was released on Friday, July 11.

According to NSPCA society liaison unit inspector Maggie Mudd, Jungmann was suspended on June 20, for failing to act in accordance with the law with regard to a dog with a broken leg, and confirmed that the penalty outcome for Jungmann was that she was summarily dismissed from the Benoni SPCA as from July 11.
Jungmann is unhappy with the charges and feels that she has been unfairly treated.
“I have received nothing but praise for my work in the five years I have served the animals of Benoni,” she said, adding that she is passionate about what she does.
“Other SPCAs have indicated that they wish to employ me, but my heart has always been in Benoni, especially our badly disadvantaged and neglected township dogs, with which I have made enormous progress,”
Jungmann said she will continue to be a champion for animals and their rights to a better life.
It has been confirmed that Jungmann had three days in which to appeal against the findings of the hearing, as of Monday, June 14.
