A total of five illegal shebeens were closed in Chief Albert Luthuli Park and, during stop-and- search operations, 13 knives were confiscated.
Members also confiscated 40 pirated DVDs.

Possession of dagga 1
Common assault 1
Illegal immigrants 3
Drunk in public 10
Dealing in liquor without a licence 5
The station commander, Lieut Col Belinda Motaung, thanked all the members for going the extra mile in the fight against crime.
Tryna Maritz, Crystal Park SAPS media liaison, said that, as the festive season approaches, the SAPS will have a zero tolerance approach to crime.
