Remembering fallen comrades

The annual Remembrance Day Parade was held at the Reveille Shellhole, in Moth Road, on Sunday, November 9.

Over 100 people attended the event in remembrance of all who died in the service of their countries.

Remembrance Day is held annually worldwide.

Memorable Order of Tin Hats (Moths) members dressed in military attire and medals, formal SA Legion/Moth attire and medals, while youths dressed in formal youth organisation uniforms and school uniforms.

The flag was hoisted before the commencement of the parade, which was followed by four ex-servicemen marching to the cenotaph to take up positions and an invocation by the chaplain.

Following a number of procedures, there was a wreath-laying ceremony by various organisations, including the general public.

The parade concluded with all guards being called to attention and the singing of the National Anthem.
