Gregory and Bruno find a home
Those who were concerned about Gregory Everts and Bruno will be happy to hear the familiar twosome have found a new home.
The City Times reported on the man and his boerboel, who used to beg and sell violins in the vicinity of the KFC and McDonalds, in Farrarmere.
Everts was given a place to stay in Kempton Park, but was recently obliged to find a new home.
Gill Myburgh, a caring helper, says Gregory and Bruno have been given a new place to stay on a small holding in Brentwood Park.
“I truly believe it was meant to be because the people who phoned also contacted me back in April when the first article appeared in the Kempton Express, but he had already found somewhere at the time,” said Myburgh.
“We also received calls from people interested in helping him with his woodwork – one kind gentleman donated a table saw and has purchased two samples to try to get orders for him,” she added.
She said the compassionate response received from members of the public was much appreciated.
Gregory has restored the quality of his life, making hand-carved violins, guitars, crucifixes and other ornaments.
