Happy faces at Care and Share Christmas Party
Christmas is a time for giving and, for Cops4Christ, seeing the lit up faces is a gift on its own.
The organisation and the Benoni City Times hosted their annual Care and Share Christmas Party, for children from care centres and orphanages in Benoni, on November 29.
A total of 236 children from Kids Haven, Abraham Kriel, Benoni Child Welfare, Home-Start, Angel Wings, Red Cross and Manger Care enjoyed a fun day at the Bunny Park, with jumping castles, face-painting, a karate demonstration by the Dragon-O Karate Club and live entertainment.
They each received a lunch box and a gift package filled with all kind of goodies, specially delivered to them by Santa Claus.
Event coordinator Audrey Todd said many special thank yous were received from the centres involved and volunteers for next year’s event are already coming forward.
