Letter to Santa brings happy results

He wrote a detailed Christmas letter, in December, requesting a number gifts for Christmas and he put the letter in Rosie and Burkie Engelbrecht’s post box, on 11th Avenue, Northmead.

Rosie usually puts up Christmas lights every year, and this is the first time she had received a posted letter.

Declan came forward as the writer and, for his effort, he received a Russian dwarf hamster, a cage, a whole month’s supply of pet food and sawdust from Johnny Barnard, owner of Global Pets and Accessories, in Cloverdene.

Even though Declan did not receive all the gifts listed on his Christmas wish list, his parents bought him a collection of Ninja Turtles.
