According to Lieut Col Katlego Mogale, SAPS Gauteng spokesperson, police officers received information alerting them to the bodies.
The bodies were found with gun shot wounds.
“Further information revealed that the victims might have been killed earlier and their bodies dumped there,” said Mogale.
It is believed the deaths may be a result of a turf war between two groups of illegal mining groups.
Cases of murder have been opened and police are investigating the incident.
