The body was found on June 24, at 3.05pm.
The police received a tip off informing them about the body.
Sgt Constance Moalusi, Daveyton SAPS spokesperson, said the body was found lying face down on the pavement.
“The deceased was wearing blue jeans and a brown jacket,” explained Moalusi.
The cause of death is still unknown.
A case of murder has been opened.
The Daveyton SAPS is requesting members of the community, who may have information to help identify the the woman, to contact WO Magopane on 011 845 9821.
