Shipment destined for Liberia minister dumped in veld
A shipment of what is believed to be insecticides was found dumped near the Danie Taljaard Park this afternoon (September 8).
PHS Cops Operational Manager, Jan Deysel, said the discovery was made at around 1.15pm, near Park Avenue.
He said 13 boxes were found with around 1 000 tablets in each box, four 1l bottles and a 20l drum containing liquid.
The consignee on some of the boxes listed Liberia’s minister of health.
Deysel said the shipper, a company in Isando, has been contacted about the find.
