Man ‘s back, legs and arms burnt during veld fire

According to Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson, when paramedics arrived on the scene, they found the man sitting near his tool-shed.

“On assessment, paramedics found that the man had sustained serious wounds to his back, arms and legs,” said Meiring.

The man was treated by advanced life support paramedics and transported to Life The Glynwood Hospital for urgent medical attention.

It is believed the man was attempting to extinguish a blaze, which had broken out on his property, when he was burnt.
