Five children injured in accident

“When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene, they found two light motor vehicles, as well as a taxi, parked on the side of the road,” said ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring.

“Occupants of the vehicles were found seated on the pavement.

“Paramedics assessed the scene and found that five children, aged between nine and 13, who had been travelling in the taxi, had sustained only minor injuries in the collision.”

The patients were treated for their injuries and transported to the Sunshine Hospital, in Actonville, for further treatment.

Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
