Tobie visits children

Children of the Footprints Nursery School, in Northmead, welcomed a Jack Russell to the school on September 15.

It was not just any dog, but one that has made a remarkable recovery after having been beaten earlier this year.

Tobie was beaten in March, by his owner’s neighbour, at his previous home in Daveyton.

She lost an eye due to the attack.

Tania Forrest-Smith, who adopted Tobie, took her to the school to show the children what progress she has made.

While feeding her snacks, the children had a chance to interact with Tobie under the supervision of Forrest-Smith and some of the staff of the school.

Forrest-Smith also brought a photo album documenting Tobie’s progress over the last couple of months.

The pictures added visual effect as told Tobie’s story to the children.

The children painted pictures for Tobie, as a token of appreciation and to show the love they have for the dog.

Forrest-Smith thanked the children before taking Tobie back home, with her tail wagging.
