Christmas like never before

Benoni is pulling out all the stops to create a Christmas wonderland, where visitors will travel from afar to bear witness to an extraordinary phenomenon.
The streets of the CBD will be cleaned, the lamp poles will be adorned with Christmas lights, and the filth that is the hallmark of Benoni streets, will be cleared to the dumping grounds never to be seen again.
The town hall will be draped in festive lights, the lawns mowed, the flowers watered.
A bus will depict the story of Christmas as it drives through the streets of the town, spreading cheer and joy, hopefully this one will not get hijacked by thugs dressed up as Santa Clauses.
The Honourable Mayor will dress up as Santa and members of his council will perform the important function of his elves.
Once again Benoni will become the envy of those rather dull towns like Boksburg and Brakpan.
Oh but gosh, golly, gee – it was but a dream!
