Here are some of the other suggestions:
- Nellie van Rensburg: Whatever you wash – dishes, yourself, washing – use less soap. You will use less water because you won’t have to use so much water to rinse off the excess soap.
- Shelley Ras: Get the municipality to fix all the water leaks.
- Norma Denholm: Drink beer, not water and don’t bath your elephant.
- Ntombie Maduna: Instead of using the washing machine, use your hands to wash your clothes. This will save water and energy.
- Samantha Richardson: Put a bucket in the shower to collect any water during your shower. May be a bit uncomfortable, but you’ll be surprised how much water it will collect that u can use to water plants, flush toilet, wash a car etc.
- Angela Moonolal: If you are a mother, share bath water with your children and then use it to water the garden.
- Ursula Lorraine: Get rid of Zuma – problem solved.
- Jessica Dalzell: Tell people not to water their gardens and fill pools! If you must water your flowers, use your bath water. Don’t use litres of water to wash your car. You will survive driving around in a dirty car. Don’t let children run through sprinklers for hours on end!
- Nita-Lisa Oberholzer: Use bath water to water plants, flush toilets and wash floors the next day.
