Hailstorm victims will be assisted – Ekurhuleni
The City of Ekurhuleni's Disaster and Emergency Management Services has identified over 1 000 houses in Etwatwa that were damaged by the hailstorm which hit Gauteng on Monday, November 16.

Sinaba Stadium, which is in Daveyton, had its roof damaged by the storm.
Themba Gadebe, Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) spokesperson, said that a number of initiatives are taking place including fixing rooftops which were damaged by the hailstorm.
“The city has also enlisted the services of the Red Cross to help boost relief efforts,” said Gadebe.
Members of the Community Response Team are said to be patrolling the affected areas, to identify households that were affected.
Gadebe said officials will visit communities, where food parcels and blankets will be distributed to those in need.
Members of the Benoni CPF are collecting donations that will be distributed to the Etwatwa community.
The items needed include: food, blankets, water, medicine, roof repair equipment and clothing.
