“Due to the improved reservoir levels in all our reservoirs, which are currently operating above 70 per cent, we are lifting the total ban on garden irrigation and filling of swimming pools to time-bound restrictions,” said Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) spokesperson Themba Gadebe.
“No one will be allowed to irrigate, fill swimming pools or wash pavements between 8am to 4pm.”
The municipality implemented the restrictions almost a month ago.
