One killed in traffic accident on R21
Heavy traffic was experienced on the R21 southbound after one person was killed and two others injured in an accident involving a light motor vehicle and a truck.

The accident took place near the Nellmapius Drive off-ramp, in Centurion.
Traffic was reportedly backed up for hours after the incident, which occurred at around 8.30am on Wednesday (May 18).
“The driver of the truck and his passenger sustained minor injuries. They were treated on scene and transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care,” said Athlenda Mathe, media liaison officer of Netcare 911.
i-Traffic Gauteng, of the South African National Road Agency Limited (Sanral), tweeted at about 11.30am that all lanes were closed due to the accident and warned motorists to expect heavy delays.
They reported the accident took place about 7km after the Nellmapius off-ramp.
