Col Stanley Nevhuhulwi, station commander of Actonville SAPS, said the man appeared to be in his 30s.
He was found dead at the lake during the early morning of February 19.
At the time of publishing, Nevhuhulwi said no arrests had been made and there were no suspects in the case.
It was unclear how the man had died.
