Armed robbers strike The Lakes Hotel

Three men were responsible for a business robbery at The Lakes Hotel and Conference Centre this morning (May 3).

“The three males used the service lift to enter the office,” said Ekurhuleni Central Cluster spokesperson Const Zunickha Essakjee.

“Two of the men were armed, but no shots were fired.”

According to Essakjee, the suspects drove a silver Toyota Yaris and a white Toyota Corolla.

“An undisclosed amount of money was stolen,” Essakjee said.

The Lakes Hotel and Conference Centre was contacted for comment, but did not reply at the time of publishing.
