Benoni cyclist shows form
The 10th edition of the Emperors Palace Cycle Classic took place on Saturday, April 22 and Sunday, April 23.
One of the cyclists in action was Benoni’s Clinton Janneke.
He finished joint third in this year’s Emperors Palace Classic mountain bike (MTB) men’s 50km race, on Saturday morning.
The cyclist finished the event, which was won by Pretoria’s Wessel Botha, in a time of one hour, 38 minutes and 56 seconds.
Janneke was back in the saddle on Sunday morning, competing in the Emperors Palace Classic Road Race, where he finished fifth in the 98km elite men’s race.
