At least one confirmed dead in Atlas Road accident
Two people are believed to have died from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident on Atlas Road this morning (May 10).
The single-vehicle crash happened at the intersection of Atlas Road and Mercury Street, just before 1am.
ER24 spokesperson Liam Hardy said both accident victims are in their 20s.
He said the woman was ejected from the vehicle and had already died when paramedics arrived.
The man was in a critical condition when paramedics arrived, and had to be extricated from the vehicle.
Reports from the scene indicate that the male later died in the Tambo Memorial Hospital.
