Pug Rescue receives generous donation of dog food
Pug Rescue South Africa received a donation of about 18 pallets of tinned food recently.
The donation was made following a #FeedAPet campaign across many grocery stores nationwide.
For every can of either BOSS dog food or Petley’s dog or cat food purchased, Promeal (the manufacturer of both BOSS and Petley’s) would donate one can to charity.
The public was encouraged to vote for their favourite charity or nominate one by sharing pictures of their pets.
Close to 100 charities were nominated and from the top 10 most voted for charities, two were randomly selected as the recipients of the final donations, including Benoni-based animal charity, Pug Rescue South Africa.
According to Pug Rescue South Africa president, Cheryl Gaw, the organisation received about 18 pallets of food.
“It’s absolutely amazing,” said Gaw.
“This will help us hugely with our Thanda Inja project.”
