Woman dies in Benoni accident
A 33-year-old woman died on Saturday (September 23) when the vehicle she was travelling in rolled on New Modder Road.
“ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 11pm to find the wrecked light motor vehicle on the side of the road,” said ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring.
“The body of a woman was found lying a short distance away while a man was found seated next to her.”
He said paramedics assessed the woman and found that she had sustained fatal injuries and showed no signs of life.
“The man was assessed and found to have escaped injury,” Meiring added.
The details surrounding this incident are not yet known, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
