Man arrested for dagga cultivation

After a tip-off from the community, Benoni police's Col Mark Naidoo and his crime prevention team arrested a man on a charge of cultivating dagga in Farrarmere Gardens this morning (October 11).

A total of 105 pot plants of dagga were found in the house.

A bag of dagga was also found in the suspect car.
Benoni SAPS spokesperson Const Zama Madonda said it is alleged that the man sells dagga to school children.
The 35-year-old man will be charged for cultivation of dagga.
He is expected to appear in the Benoni Magistrate’s Court soon.
