Man arrested for vehicle theft

A 34-year-old man was arrested on a charge of being in possession of a suspected stolen vehicle on October 10.

The arrest was made on Nkwaketse Street, at about 7.20pm.
Daveyton SAPS spokesperson Capt Mesh Makole said police received a tip-off about a VW Polo that was stolen in Tsakane.
“When police followed up on the information, they went to the said street and spotted the vehicle, which was driven by the man,” said Makole.
“The man was then arrested when he failed to produce relevant documents of the vehicle’s ownership.”
The man was arrested and detained at the Daveyton SAPS.
He is expected to appear in the Daveyton Magistrate’s Court soon.
