Tell your kids we have found Santa – on a roof

Tell your children that if they’re looking for Father Christmas, they will find him on the roof of a Western Extension property.

The only problem is that he has had a few too many drinks.

“How did he fall?” is what children in the neighbourhood ask Turvey Street resident Adele Labuschagne.

“He drank some beer and fell down,” she tells them.

Labuschagne and her family are trying to get the Christmas spirit back in Benoni.

To do so, they have been placing Santa on the roof of their house for several years.

This year, he is wearing Crocs and has a beer in hand.

“I don’t think there is another Santa on a roof in Benoni,” the resident said, adding that passer-bys think his presence is a “helluva joke”.
