New president for Benoni Host

The day was filled with emotions as the club inducted a new president and bid farewell to the outgoing one.

It was an exciting day at the Benoni Host Lions Club on June 2 as they welcomed a new member and inducted a new president.

The induction consisted of the Lions Pledge, Lions Creed, minutes of the previous meeting and welcoming of the new president and member.

In 2017, the induction welcomed incoming president Tina Strachan and bid farewell to outgoing president Diane Crompton.

“The only way a president can be successful is when they have the full support of every individual in the club,” past district governor (PDG) George MacDonald said after inducting Crompton.

Strachan thanked everyone for their support during her time as president and said she looks forward to seeing the growth of the club.

Crompton also said she looks forward to the results of all the projects in the pipeline in her term.

“I commit to giving my best to the club and community,” she said.

“And I welcome all ideas for projects.”
