Four suspects were arrested by the Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) recently.

“One suspect was traced and arrested after the theft of a large amount of cash from a business in Elston Avenue,” said BFS spokesperson Grant Giblin.
“Two were arrested on the corner of Great North and Hospital roads for possession of a cellphone which was allegedly stolen.
“Another suspect was arrested in Mocky Street in Daveyton for being in possession of an unlicensed firearm.
“A 9mm pistol and 15 live rounds of ammunition were confiscated,” Giblin said.
According to Giblin, the four suspects will appear in the Benoni Magistrate’s Courts soon, facing their respective charges of theft, possession of stolen property and possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
