Ekurhuleni Cluster rewards excellence

Officers awarded for their dedication.

The police’s top men and women were recognised for hard work during the Ekurhuleni Central Cluster 2018 Prestige Awards on July 25 at Carnival City.

The Ekurhuleni Central Cluster consists of 11 police stations.

They are Actonville, Benoni, Boksburg, Boksburg North, Brakpan, Crystal Park, Dalpark, Daveyton, Etwatwa, Putfontein and Reiger Park – all of which had representatives at the function.

Maj Gen Poobalan Subbiah, Ekurhuleni Central Cluster commander, acknowledged those who have walked and worked an extra mile in the fight against crime.

The winners in the various categories of the Ekurhuleni Cluster Excellence Awards, for the Benoni stations, are:

• Administration Employee of the Year (level five to seven): Joiroonisah Jogiat (Benoni SAPS).

• Sport Woman of the Year: Const Zunickha Essakjee (Benoni SAPS).

• Man of the Year: Constable Justice Ramaube (Putfontein SAPS).

• Detective Employee of the Year (level eight to 12): Capt Rajanderan Perumal Chetty (Putfontein SAPS).

• Vispol Group of the Year: Etwatwa SAPS.

• Reservist of the Year: Reservist Const Stephen Du Toit (Benoni SAPS).

• CPF of the Year: Dr Reza Patel.
