Benoni Day promises to be fun

Bring your family along for a fun-filled day.

Benonians, are you ready for a day in Benoni, about Benoni, with fellow Benonians and a chance to enjoy everything amazing about Benoni?

The Bunker Pub, at 2 Moth Avenue, is hosting a Benoni Day on August 25 from 11am and entrance is free.

Here’s a taste of what visitors can look forward to:

• Displays of archives about Benoni.

• An art exhibit.

• Stalls where traders (only Benonians) will sell their produce.

• Crafter stands (only Benonians) which will range between children’s clothing and toys, crochet clothing, pet goodies, essential oils, flower pots, jewellery and pallet art, to name a few.

• Play area for the children who will be taken care of by the Benoni branch of Sherpa Kids South Africa.

• Food court.

• A display of mining in the area from the Benoni Museum.

• A display by Air Cooled Hooligans.

• Six local bands performing – Between You and Eye, Memories Jam Trio, Lauren Wanda, Bitter Sweet, The Color Blew and The Burning.

Although entrance is free, there is a fee for parking.

Bring the whole family. Blankets and chairs can be also be brought along.
