Police investigating murder case after burnt body was found in Etwatwa

No arrests have been made.

Police are investigating a murder case after a burnt body of an unknown man was found in Etwatwa on August 21.

Gauteng police spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubela said a member of the community was walking past a grazing farm when they noticed the body in the bush around 11.30am.

“The community members then informed the police,” said Makhubela.

“When police arrived, they found a middle-aged man with both feet tied with wire.”

Makhubela said police are investigating whether the crime was linked to the recent Daveyton mob justice attacks.
