Benoni Flying Squad makes 13 arrests

Successes for the BFS.

The Benoni Flying Squad made 13 arrests and recovered a stolen vehicle in operations carried out between September 7 and 9.

BFS spokesperson WO Grant Giblin said 10 of the suspects were arrested for drugs, including dagga, nyaope and a kilogram of cocaine.

The arrests were made in Spoorberg Street, Rhodesfield, Daveyton Mall, Daveyton Taxi Rank, Actonville Hostel and Modderfontien Road, Greenstone Hill.

Officers also recovered a white Toyota Etios in Actonville, connected to a stolen vehicle case in Benoni.

“The suspects are aged between 20 and 40 and will appear in the respective magistrate’s courts,” Giblin said.
