Etwatwa man faces perjury case

The man was arrested and detained at the Etwatwa Police Station.

A 33-year-old man, who opened a case of motor theft, was arrested for perjury on September 16 at Mandela, in Etwatwa, around 1pm.

Etwatwa SAPS spokesperson Captain Ramothakhi Maqabe said the man reported the case at the station after he allegedly didn’t find the company vehicle were he parked it.

“However, after further questioning, it was found that the man was drinking on that night, he then misplaced the keys and an unknown person took them and the vehicle,” said Maqabe.

He was then arrested and detained at the Etwatwa Police Station.
