Northmead Square hosted the Spring Festivities event that kicked off the Northmead Square Spring Sale on September 22.
Young and old were invited to participate in various activities, including playtime on a jumping castle, a dance-off, an ice cream eating contest and a strongman competition hosted by the Brotherhood Strongman.

The strong man competition comprised of a 220kg car lift, a farmer’s walk with 75kg in each hand, a kiddies farmer’s walk with 10kg in each hand and tyre flip competition for the most flips in a minute with the tyre weighing in between 200 and 250kg.
There was much delight by the locals as the masses gathered and were dazzled by the entertainment on display.
Outside was abuzz and inside the Square was no different with vendors and their goods and services to bargain with also attracting the crowds who enjoyed the mini flea market effect.
Marketing manager Sharné Bodenstein said an array of prizes were up for grabs from Santa Cruz Spur Steak Ranch, Hard Drive Web Café and Jubilee Motors.
“Northmead Square would like to thank everyone who participated and who helped make the day a great success,” said Bodenstein.
