EMPD confiscates drugs

The drugs was found on the accused.

EMPD members responded to a tip-off on November 21 and managed to seize drugs worth R6 000 at a pool area in Cranbourne Avenue.

“The pool place was raided by the Drug Enforcement Unit members who found one of the patrons with 19 ziplock bags of Cat, three small blocks of Cat and 32 ziplock bags of dagga,” said EMPD Chief-Supt Wilfred Kgasago.

“The man was immediately handcuffed.”

The 45-year-old suspect was detained at Benoni Police Station on charges of possession and dealing in narcotics and dagga.

Suspect arrested.

He is expected to appear in the Benoni Magistrate’s Court soon.
