A roadblock on Snake Road and Dube Bridge resulted in 16 warrants, 29 outstanding fines paid on the spot and three arrests made by the EMPD.

“Sixteen drivers managed to pay the fine and the contempt of court fine on the spot, while three ended up behind bars,” said EMPD spokesperson Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago.
“Twenty-nine motorists who were made aware of their outstanding fines decided to pay on the spot before their fines gave rise to warrants.”
Kgasago said a total of R22 800 was collected between 9am and noon.
