The roadblocks were held in Etwatwa, Daveyton and Duduza, where police arrested the drivers for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Kgasago said one of the operations in Daveyton resulted in two arrests.

However, the police were compelled to stop the operation due to rain and instead conducted high-visibility patrols in the area.

On the last day of the operation, police arrested 16 drivers on Nala and Sonneskraal streets.
