On April 21, a 34-year-old foreign national was arrested on Harper Avenue after being found in possession of dagga valued at R8 100.
“The arrest and the seizure of the dagga took place at 10.50am, said EMPD spokesperson Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago.

“Suspicious movements and conduct of the suspect were monitored for some time by the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit members before acting.
“On searching the suspect, EMPD uncovered 144 small ziplocks, 14 medium size ziplocks and two ‘bankies’ with a total weight of 409. 51 grams.
“The suspect was detained at Benoni police station and charged with possession and dealing in dagga.”
