Road runners prepare for Comrades up run with high-mileage Easter weekend training
The runners clocked up the kilometres over the long weekend.
In preparation for the gruelling and daunting 86.83km 2019 Comrades Marathon on June 9, a contingent of local road-runners from Benoni Northerns Athletic Club (BNAC) ran a total of 90km or more over the four days of the Easter long weekend to build mental and physical toughness ahead of the world’s longest ultra-marathon.
