Rynfield Primary School learner Ethan van Aswegen and Farrarmere Primary School learner Andrew Parker were recently selected as the latest batch of TRUper winners, who emulate the values of sharing, generosity and charity at their schools.
The TRUper campaign, initiated by Toys R Us South Africa, calls for nominations from school teachers and peers from schools across the country to recognise a child, each month, who exemplifies the qualities of a do-gooder.

Nicole Jansen van Vuuren, marketing manager at Toys R Us & Babies R Us SA, said: “Teachers have an awesome responsibility to mould the minds and hearts of our children.
“Cultivating kindness at schools improves school culture and supports learning, both academic and emotional, and we are so impressed to see the positive impact our campaign has made at the schools that have embraced TRUper.”
As Toys R Us SA continues to encourage children to make thoughtful gestures, each winner was awarded a R500 gift voucher, a certificate of honour and an official TRUper cap and badge.
