Sandy Hutchison was inducted as a new member of the Rotary Club of Benoni. She said this membership has sentimental value as her father was part of the club for years.

After a delicious main course, Lockyer was inducted as the president of the Rotary Club of Benoni for a second term by Greg Stathacopoulos.

“Adele is a courageous young lady who does a tremendous job as acting president,” Stathacopoulos said.

He thanked everyone for attending and said that he is looking forward to hearing about the good year ahead for the past and present president of a female-dominating club.

Adele later handed a certificate to Greg for being part of the club for 28 years and wished him well as he would no longer be a member of the club.
