Correction to previous article
Ismail was recently appointed to the National Assembly as as member of parliament.
In an article reported in the July 5 edition on page 5, the City Times quoted Haseena Ismail as the Ward 29 Councillor in the article headlined ‘Tensions high over Emandleni reblocking’.
This is incorrect.
Ismail was recently appointed to the National Assembly as as member of parliament.
The City Times was told by Ismail that she is still actively involved in the ward until the re-elections in August but according to the Ekurhuleni metro she cannot hold both positions.
The City Times apologises for any inconveniences caused.
