POPCRU recognises work done by members

Members of the organisation gathered to show support and celebrate with the members that were honoured.

The Police and Prisons Civil Right Union (POPCRU) honoured members in the organisation, recognising the work they had done for the union in Wattville recently.

Vuyo Mbeki, secretary of the organisation, said: “We found it appropriate that we commemorate the late Nelson Mandela’s legacy in the month of July by celebrating our heroes and heroins.”

The following members served the organisation with pride and pure diligence: Jabu Khumalo, Sphiwe Mqeke, Brenda Mabuza (late), Betty Moreriane and TT Mdingi.

“Without a shadow of a doubt, we are proud of these members and wish them well with their future endeavors,” he said.
