Northmead Square art competition winners announced

A total 105 entries were judged by a panel of judges from the Benoni Art Association and the artwork of the top three entries of each category was exhibited in Northmead Square from July 15 to 20 where the public were able vote for their favourite pieces.

The Northmead Square School Art Competition culminated in a colourful finale as learners and their respective guardians made their way to the shopping centre recently to find out who the winners of prizes to the value of R60 000 were.

Entrants created an art piece on the A3 entry page provided that represented their vision of “My South Africa 2020” and the artwork had to include the Northmead Square logo and slogan.
