Dettol team visits Kuzimisela Primary School
A demonstration was given to learners on the six-step handwashing technique of which they all took part in, after they played a song and learners could sing along to the catchy tune that also taught them the six steps.
In light of Global Handwashing Day, which took place today (October 15), Dettol donated four handwashing stations to Kuzimisela Primary School in Daveyton.
The Dettol roadshow team visited the school, together with Captain Dettol, to educate learners on good hand health habits and the importance of handwashing with soap as an affordable way to prevent diseases.

Doctor Sindi Van Zyl spoke to learners about germs and how flu is spread through dirty hands.
“The most important times to wash your hands are when you get to school, after tea break, after lunch break and always after going to the toilet,” said Sindi
She than shared her own story of not washing her hands which resulted in her having to cut her hair, after she treated a patient that had a ring worm and touched her scalp that transferred germs from her hands to her scalp which lead to her having a ring worm on her head that forced her to cut her hair.
